BREAKFAST · AMER SIDE
Leave before the city gets busy
Have a light breakfast near your stay or take it on the way to Amer. Do not use the morning for a long café stop—Amer Fort needs the cooler hours.
JAIPUR · RAJASTHAN
Start early at Amer, keep the Pink City together, shop only when the route brings you there, and finish at sunset—not in traffic. This is your ready-to-use Jaipur plan.
FIRST, CHOOSE YOUR PACE
Jaipur is large. Do not put Amer Fort, Old City and every market into one rushed afternoon.
YOUR READY ROUTE
Travel times are approximate for a cab/auto in normal traffic. Start Amer early and keep 15–20 extra minutes on weekends, holidays and festival days.
PLAN A · ONE DAY
This is the honest one-day plan: Amber in the cool morning, then the compact Old City circuit. Skip Jaigarh and Nahargarh today rather than rushing every stop.
BREAKFAST · AMER SIDE
Have a light breakfast near your stay or take it on the way to Amer. Do not use the morning for a long café stop—Amer Fort needs the cooler hours.
MAIN VISIT · AMER
Enter early, then move through the palace at a relaxed pace. This is the main Jaipur fort visit; allow time for the courtyards, Sheesh Mahal area and the walk back to your vehicle.
Allow: about 3 hours · Carry water, cap and walking shoes. Verify ticket and entry timing before leaving.
Open Amer Fort in Maps ↗PHOTO STOP · ON THE WAY BACK
Make this a short roadside viewpoint stop, not a long visit. The palace is in Man Sagar Lake and is best used as a photo break while returning from Amer.
Open Jal Mahal in Maps ↗LUNCH · PINK CITY EDGE
Choose lunch around MI Road / Bapu Bazaar side. Keep it to an hour, then stay on foot or use short autos inside the Old City.
Find lunch nearby ↗OLD CITY · WALKABLE CORE
See Hawa Mahal from the street first, then keep City Palace and Jantar Mantar together—they are close enough to avoid a second cross-city ride. Choose interiors according to your interest and available time.
Do not promise yourself every museum today. These three are the essential central loop.
Open Old City walking route ↗EVENING · SHOP + DINNER
Shop for small, easy-to-carry items only after sightseeing: textiles, block prints, juttis or souvenirs. Jewellery purchases need price comparison and a bill. Eat dinner in the same central area.
Open Johari Bazaar in Maps ↗PLAN B · TWO DAYS
This is the RouteSathi recommendation. Day 1 stays in the Pink City; Day 2 follows the Amer–Jaigarh–Nahargarh side without crossing back and forth.
PLAN C · THREE DAYS
Keep the first two days exactly as above. The extra day is for a temple, craft stop, a relaxed museum visit or a cultural evening—not for repeating the same fort circuit.
Hawa Mahal exterior, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, lunch, Albert Hall Museum, then market and dinner.
Amer Fort in the morning, optional Jaigarh if you have energy, Jal Mahal view and Nahargarh for sunset.
Option A: Galtaji Temple in the morning, then Birla Mandir and a slow café/market afternoon. Option B: Patrika Gate and a relaxed craft or museum day. Do not try to do both sides in one day.
DO NOT MISS THESE
These are useful additions, but attach them to the right day so the trip stays simple.
Add it only after Amer Fort. It is close by, but both forts involve walking; skip it if Amer already took most of your energy.
Open in Maps ↗A temple complex outside the compact Pink City. Go early, dress respectfully, carry water and avoid combining it with Amer on the same morning.
Open in Maps ↗Best as an indoor late-afternoon stop near Ram Niwas Garden. It works naturally with the Old City, not with the Amer route.
Open in Maps ↗A light, visual day for families or travellers who have already covered the major forts. Use short cab rides; do not call it a heritage-fort day.
Open in Maps ↗STAY, EAT & SPEND
MI Road / C-Scheme: easiest all-round base for food and moving around. Old City: best for early heritage walks but expect busier lanes. Amer: choose only if you want a quieter resort-style stay, not city-market evenings.
Find stays in Maps ↗Morning: poha, kachori or a light local breakfast near your route. Lunch: MI Road / Bapu Bazaar on Old City day; Amer-return side on fort day. Dinner: C-Scheme, MI Road or Old City—do not travel across town only for dinner.
Find food in Maps ↗Johari Bazaar is known for jewellery and Bapu Bazaar for textiles and souvenirs. Compare prices, ask for a bill for expensive purchases and never let a shopping stop break your sightseeing route.
Open Bapu Bazaar ↗Fort mornings are essential in warmer months. Autos work for short city hops; a cab is easier for Amer–Jaigarh–Nahargarh. Keep a water bottle and verify current ticket, closure and weather conditions before leaving.

Jaipur ko sirf famous places ki list se plan mat karo. Old City aur Amer side alag rakho, sahi area mein raho aur apne travel style ke hisaab se days choose karo.
MI Road / C-Scheme: first visit, food and all-round city access. Old City: heritage walk priority ho tab, lekin lanes busy rehti hain. Amer: quiet resort stay ke liye, city evenings ke liye nahi.
Find stays in Maps ↗Old City day: MI Road / Bapu Bazaar side lunch and dinner. Amer day: fort-return route par lunch, phir sunset ke baad stay ke paas dinner. Extra city crossing mat karein.
Find food in Maps ↗Monument tickets, cab waiting, water, food aur shopping ke rates change ho sakte hain. Fort-side full-day cab ka route aur waiting charge pehle confirm karein.

Galtaji, Birla Mandir and Patrika Gate ko relaxed Day 3 par rakhein. Amer–Jaigarh–Nahargarh ke saath unhe ek over-packed day mein mat jodiye.
